# Upgrades and cancellation

> Learn how to upgrade your plan, manage automatic renewal, and cancel your subscription on the web.

On the [Plan Details](https://platform.minimax.io/console/plan) page, click **Manage subscription** to upgrade your plan or manage automatic renewal.

## Upgrade your plan

You can upgrade to a higher tier at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately.

| Current subscription | Available upgrades |
| :- | :- |
| Monthly | A higher tier with monthly or annual billing |
| Annual | A higher tier with annual billing |

The unused portion of your current subscription is prorated based on the time remaining and applied toward the new subscription. You only pay the difference.

**How to upgrade**

1. Open [Plan Details](https://platform.minimax.io/console/plan), click **Manage subscription**, and choose your new tier.
2. Check the deduction and the amount due.
3. Complete payment.

Downgrades are currently not supported.

## Automatic renewal and cancellation

With automatic renewal enabled, your subscription renews automatically when the current period ends. Check the renewal date and amount in Plan Details. After upgrading, renewals use the new tier's price.

**How to cancel automatic renewal**

1. Open [Plan Details](https://platform.minimax.io/console/plan) and click **Manage subscription**.
2. Turn off automatic renewal and follow the prompts to confirm.

**After turning it off**

* Your benefits remain available through the paid period, and your subscription will not renew when it ends.
* Payments already made are not automatically refunded.
* You can restore automatic renewal before your subscription expires. To do so, open Plan Details, click **Manage subscription**, and turn automatic renewal back on.
